Welcome to ChurchPlayer.com, a site dedicated to musicians and singers who, well, do the majority of their playing at church.  Over the last five years I've been a member of many different internet music and guitar related communities, and it seemed that no matter which forum I was at there existed a fairly large percentage of members that considered themselves to be "Church Players".  Over the years I would often see the same church and worship related questions and topics pop up in each of these forums covering everything from equipment to performance to song selection.  Then, one day not long ago while mowing the lawn - which for some reason seems to be when I do a good chunk of my quality "quiet time with God" - I felt inspired to create a place where "Church Players" could get together and just hang.  So, ChurchPlayer.com was born.

Over the next several weeks I will be making some additions to the site to include links and other resources that are aimed and helping worship leaders and worship team members find new music, solve problems, share experiences and simply get to know other people in similar, and not so similar, situations around the country and around the world.  But the part of this site that I truly hope you will all find the most valuable is the Church Player Forum, which is now up and running.

That's not to say that this is a site just for folks who play at church.  It's my hope that it will become a home for just about anyone that uses their God given talents for His glory, whether it be in His house, in a coffeehouse, on a stage or on a street corner.

As we continue to make improvements, please feel free to let us know how you think we're doing, what you like, what you don't like, and what you'd like to see added.  This is a place for players, run by players.  We hope you enjoy it and are blessed by it.
